Use sources relevant to the claim: an official registry for a regulated status, a partner page for a real partnership, documentation for a product capability or a dated customer study for a measured result. Keep names and scope consistent. A count of mentions or links cannot establish their accuracy or commercial relevance.
Match each claim to the right evidence
A feature claim belongs with current product documentation or a reproducible test. A partnership claim needs an appropriate confirmation. A revenue claim needs actual records, a period and a calculation. One source type should not be stretched into supporting a different conclusion.
Preserve scope when summarizing
Keep material qualifications near the claim. Explain whether a result concerns one test, one customer or a broader dataset. Identify illustrative scenarios so a reader does not mistake them for completed client work.
If evidence cannot be published, explain the authorized verification route without exposing confidential records. A useful public summary can describe scope and method while leaving protected material private.
What to check
- Match each important claim to evidence that can actually establish it, such as product documentation or a dated study.
- Include the scope, date and limitations of the evidence. Label illustrative examples as examples.
- Check that company names, product names and offer details remain consistent across relevant public sources.
A practical example
A partner directory can support a real partnership claim. It cannot establish a revenue increase. A before-and-after result needs its own dataset, measurement window and explanation of what changed.
