The short answer

Maintain one owned source for each amenity fact, identify the responsible team and update dependent pages when conditions change. Separate a currently available service from a proposed offer or a brand-wide feature. AI observations should retain the source cited so an inaccurate answer can be traced to its evidence.

Use a property fact register

Record the fact, its maintained URL, internal owner and date of verification. Include constraints that affect use, such as reservation requirements or temporary closures, when the hotel can confirm them.

The register should not contain guest records or private staff contacts in public pages. Publish only the property details a traveler needs to make a decision.

Correct the source and check dependent pages

A policy change should trigger review of the relevant FAQ, booking description and authorized third-party listings. Updating one answer page is insufficient if the official site still gives conflicting details.

When a generated answer remains wrong, preserve the response and inspect its citations. Correcting the source and observing a corrected answer are separate steps.

What to check

  1. Assign a fact owner and maintained source URL.
  2. Include relevant conditions and effective dates.
  3. Review dependent pages and then retest the same guest question.

A practical example

An illustrative property temporarily closes a facility. Its team updates the facility page and related FAQs, then records whether subsequent answers still cite an older description.
